Dr Mashru really made me feel relaxed and confident in his care today, he spoke to me like an equal and as a result I felt more than just a patient to him; there was genuine concern for my health and wellbeing. We discussed my background and personal history before talking about my needs, terms for diagnosis and how my experiences fit in to everything. I have the utmost trust for him with taking care of my needs going forwards. I would class this appointment/assessment with him as probably one of the most important moments of my life, in terms of understanding who I am as a person and I consider the money spent on getting to see him, on such a personal level at a time to suit me, as worth it a hundred times over.

Dr Shyamal Mashru provided an excellent level of care and I could not recommend him enough. In our consultation he was clear, constructive and supportive throughout, and very patiently walked me through a variety of possible treatments, guiding me to identify the one most suitable for me. Dr Mashru's approach is very reassuring without being intimidating, and clearly reflected a close reading of my submitted notes and histories, picking up details that brought into view issues that I hadn't previously focused on. Delighted with my level of care and I highly recommend him to other patients.

Thank you so much. I am so glad you found the experience a positive one. Many patients are anxious at the beginning but the hardest step is coming to see the Dr. After that it’s plain sailing! See you soon for follow up :)

Dr Mashru booked me in one day after my initial booking date. He read all my questionnaires and my statements for my ADHD testing within 24 hours, was attentive and informative, helpful and receptive, and not only was he knowledgeable in his field, but he gave me a better understanding of my condition (ADHD). He comforted me on my new found condition even when I didn’t need it as he was supportive and empathetic for the entire appointment. He cut straight to the chase and spent the whole hour discussing with me about what I wanted, what was possible, what was advised and how it could benefit me... as well as the possible risks, the details of the condition and how it affects me. Dr Mashru was very responsive and quick to help. He did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone doing an ADHD screening with him!

Dr Mashru made me feel at ease right away which wasn't easy as I was extremely nervous following a bad experience with the NHS. We had a slight technical problem but he called me and sorted this very quickly. Dr Mashru was very professional yet friendly and made me feel very comfortable despite being very emotional. It was clear that all the documents I sent had been read throughly beforehand. I am extremely grateful for Dr Mashru having an appointment at such short notice as I really was at crisis point but feel like everything is finally going to get better after having my ADHD diagnosis and medication prescribed, along with very clear info on side effects and how the drug works which I really appreciated. Thank you so much, I am so excited to start getting better.

Thanks so much and well done to you for being brave enough to come and see me, I know this was difficult for you. ADHD is very treatable with medication and I will be keen to see whether your symptoms have improved at follow up! Best, Dr Mashru MBBS BSc MRCPsych DFMH
